Swords second XV rounded off their league campaign with an excellent win away to Fingal rivals Skerries at Holmpatrick on Sunday. The Greens dominated the opening proceedings, with wing Ross McBride twice crossing from deep to give Swords an early lead.

Skerries responded strongly and ground out two tries through their hard working pack to close the gap at the break.However, Swords upped the tempo in the second half and ran in a further four tries, with Leo Price, Alan Dodsley and Robin Kiely completing the rout in the closing stages. A fine end to a promising campaign from the ALSAA-based side, who have a number of cup campaigns to look forward to in the coming weeks.
