AGM 2008

Swords RFC held their AGM in ALSAA last week and a number of new appointments have been made at committee level. Richard Cowman has again be elected President, with Dave Cahill remaining Vice-President. Joe Reid has stepped down as Honourary Secretary, and his role has been taken up by Dave Cahill, who also replaced long serving member Brian Vaughan as Fixtures Secretary.

Fiachra Coll is the new Treasurer, with Ben Traynor taking over as Assistant Treasurer, while Robin Kiely has again been named Club PRO and Shane Mulligan retained his position as Webmaster. On the coaching front, Coach Tony Lawless has decided to step down after two years of dedicated service. Everyone at the club would like to thank him for his contribution and efforts.

Alan Dodsley has been named Second XV captain, while decisions are yet to be made on coaches and First XV captain. Meanwhile, Ed Flannery has been signed up as a youth coach and will work alongside Youth Development Officer Jamie Gormly next season.
