Waterside sign up with Swords U-18s

Two of the best known names in Fingal have joined forces to form a formidable winning team. The region's fastest growing rugby club, Swords RFC, have announced details of a new sponsorship deal with the renowned Waterside House Hotel in Donabate.

The Waterside will sponsor the club's Under-18 side for the coming season, who in turn will sport the hotel's logo on the front of their jerseys.
‘The Waterside House Hotel is one of the leading hotels in Dublin, let alone Fingal, and we're absolutely delighted that they are supporting us for the season,' Swords RFC president, Richard Cowman said. ‘It's a top class facility, with an incredible view and we're looking forward to toasting many victories here throughout the coming year. ‘Our Under-18s are arguably our flagship team, having initially pulled on the green jersey as our first ever Under-14 side four seasons ago.

‘Swords RFC have invested heavily in the development of our youth section and will continue to do so. We appointed our own youth development officer last year, fully funded by the club, to help spread the game of rugby in the town of Swords. ‘Youth rugby is the lifeblood of our club and the support of the Waterside will greatly help us develop and improve our junior set-up.'

Players and coaches paid their first visit to the hotel last week for a reception, following a training session on the adjoining beach beforehand.
The Waterside's sales and marketing manager, Sara Farrell, said the hotel staff were eagerly anticipating the coming season. ‘We are delighted to be part of this relationship and are looking forward to shouting from the sideline throughout the season,' Ms Farrell said. ‘Everyone here at the Waterside House Hotel wishes the boys all the best for the upcoming season and we are looking forward to celebrating all their winnings in the hotel over the next year.
